Then, ask the Lord: “What does this mean?”

How it works: Ask the Lord to highlight a single color in your spirit or mind’s eye. Wait until a specific color stands out clearly. Once it does, reflect on what that color may represent biblically or prophetically. Then, release a short word of encouragement or insight based on that color.

Once the timer ends, review what you wrote and ask, “Does this align with Scripture? Does it bring life, peace, or direction?”

How it works: Ask the Holy Spirit to bring a song to mind—either a worship song, a hymn, or even a secular song with a meaningful lyric. Listen for the line that stands out to you. Then ask the Lord, “What are You saying to me or someone else through this lyric?”

Example: The lyric, “You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains” comes to mind. You feel God wants to encourage someone who’s felt low or overlooked. You release the word, “God is lifting you into a place of strength and visibility—your season of hiding is over.”

• What do I sense in the atmosphere?

Example: You suddenly think of the number 318 and wonder why. You look up Genesis 14:14, which mentions 318 trained men. You sense the Lord saying He’s preparing and training a remnant of warriors in this season.
